of Sno Goer Magazine rated Aroostook County trail riding the highest in
New England and third highest in the North American snowbelt.
Surveys show that, on average,
snowmobilers
taking overnight trips (24 percent of those surveyed) take three to
five
trips a year, spending two nights per trip away from home.
In 1998 there were 257,936
snowmobiles
sold worldwide; 162,826 were sold in the U.S. and 68,618 were sold in
Canada.
